cinnamon roll cake
a warm moist vanilla bean cake with cinnamon sugar swirls mixed in topped with a sweet vanilla frosting
I know you guys love when I bake anything cinnamon related so here is another recipe you MUST try
Hear me out … instead of a cinnamon roll, make this soft, delicious, moist cake.
It’s buttery and just the perfect amount of sweetness. Not too overly sweet and tastes just like a cinnamon roll
Ingredients:
Cake:
150g All purpose flour
5g Baking powder
65g Sugar
1 egg
45g Unsalted butter
1 tsp vanilla bean paste
Pinch of salt
150ml Room temperature milk
For the cinnamon sugar filling pieces:
25g Unsalted butter (room temp)
20g Coconut sugar
20g Brown sugar
1 tsp cinnamon
For the glaze:
60g Powdered sugar
10ml Milk, room temp
1 tsp Vanilla extract
Directions:
Make the cinnamon sugar pieces first:
In a small bowl, add in room temperature butter, coconut sugar, brown sugar, and cinnamon. Mix together with your hands until it becomes crumbly with chunks.
Set aside.
Line a 7x7 pan and preheat the oven to 320f.
In a different bowl, add in your melted butter, sugar, vanilla bean paste, egg and milk. mix together.
Then sift in the dry ingredients and fold together.
Pour batter into the lined pan and Mix in the clumps of cinnamon sugar pieces.
bake for 30 minutes.
